OVERVIEW
Mahzen combines familiar social-media interaction with institution-controlled access. Participating institutes manage their own approved members through an administrative dashboard, while students and teachers use a private mobile environment for posts, stories, communities, events, messages, profiles, and paid features.
THE PROBLEM
Educational institutes need digital communities where students and staff can interact without giving up control over who can enter the network, but generic social platforms do not provide institute-managed account provisioning or closed membership.
Campus activity also becomes fragmented when posts, groups, messages, events, premium communities, and content promotion are handled through separate tools.

Legacy state diagnostic & bottleneck mapping for Mahzen.

HOW WE FRAMED THE IDEA
The concept was framed around one principle: institutions control entry, while verified members receive a modern social experience once inside, balancing administrative governance with low-friction social interaction for students and teachers.
Product pillars included institution-controlled identity, familiar social interaction, communities & events, and commerce & governance through subscriptions, boosts, wallet activity, payments, and moderation.
ARCHITECTURAL THESIS
“A trusted campus network wasn't built by opening the platform to everyone, it came from making the institution itself the gateway into a familiar social experience.”
THINK & BUILD
Mahzen uses Flutter for the mobile experience, Node.js for backend services, and AWS for cloud infrastructure. A separate admin dashboard handles institute onboarding, domain registration, member provisioning, and platform oversight.
Branch.io supports deep-link journeys for shared posts, profiles, communities, and events, while Apple Pay and Google Pay support payment experiences for subscriptions, boosts, and premium access.

THE SOLUTION
Mahzen combines verified access, social interaction, communities, events, messaging, and monetization in one platform, giving institutions a controlled digital campus while members gain feeds, stories, messaging, communities, events, profiles, subscriptions, boosts, and moderation in a single experience.
